WoodworksForGaming is a small woodshop owned and operated by me out of my home in New Hudson, Michigan. I make oversized cushioned lapdesks with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.

I’m an avid PC gamer and have always had my PC hooked up to my living room television. I like the theater experience of playing my video games, but the drawback has always been comfort.

When searching for a solution to comfortably use my keyboard and mouse in my living room, there were only two I came across, and both didn’t work for me. The first solution was lapdesks that were too cramped to fit on my lap and horrible for moving my mouse around. The second solution was large, over-cumbersome battle-stations that took up the entire couch, yet somehow still felt cramped because I was wedged between two cushions. When I couldn’t find the lapdesk I was looking for, I decided to design one myself.

Since then, I’ve sold hundreds of lapdesks to people looking for the same solution I was. A lapdesk that has all the space I could ever want, while still remaining practical, stylish, and most importantly, comfortable.
